Necessary tools and materials
1. 650 g flame-retardant tarpaulin: All tarpaulins are custom-made for the specific switchboard or distribution board.
2. Ropes or straps: You will need durable ropes to secure the tarpaulin. Straps with ratchets are most common.
3. Ladder or stepladder (if applicable): To make it easier to place the tarpaulin over taller equipment.
4. Optional: Gloves: Always a good idea to protect hands from rope burns and dirty work.
Before you begin, ensure you have the correct tarpaulin for the correct switchboard/distribution board. All tarpaulins are clearly marked with a tag number.

Step-by-step installation tips for flame-retardant tarpaulins
1. Preparing the tarpaulin
Unpack the tarpaulin from the supplier's delivery. Find the correct tarpaulin for the switchboard/distribution panel by looking for the tag number printed on the front of the tarpaulin.
2. Open all zippers
The zippers are normally located at each corner. Smaller tarpaulins only have two zippers at the front. Larger tarpaulins may have zippers at each corner, as well as additional zippers for opening doors/inspection.

3. Mounting the tarpaulin
If your equipment is tall, it may be easier to use a ladder or stepladder to safely place the tarpaulin over the switchboard/distribution board. Position the tarpaulin so that the tag number on the tarpaulin faces the front of the switchboard/distribution board. The zippers should be placed as close to the corners of the switchboard/distribution board as possible.
4. Secure the tarpaulin
Once the tarpaulin is correctly positioned over the switchboard/distribution board, close all zippers. Adjust the position of the tarpaulin if necessary. When all zippers are closed, thread the rope/strap through the eyelets at the bottom of the tarpaulin and tighten. The tarpaulin should now be securely attached to the equipment. Ready to be placed in the transport case.

Additional notes
After installing the equipment, it may be necessary to access the equipment while the tarpaulins are still in place, for example, during inspections and work on the equipment carried out during the project's construction phase.
All tarpaulins are equipped with straps at the top, allowing the zippers to be opened and the opening to be rolled up and secured at the top. The zippers and associated straps are located either at the corners or in front of the equipment doors.
