Rapid Soft Cover CF 3/4" 15k# (4 L21,3 / RRB 90x30mm)

Rapid Soft Cover is developed by Reál Marine AS for the protection of flanges. The sandwich solution consists of a 5mm layer of soft cellular rubber and a 4mm layer of hard PE plastic. The soft layer ensures a dust-tight and cushioning connection against the flange surface. The hard PE plastic on top provides protection against mechanical impact, scratches, etc.

The flange protector can be supplied with two different fasteners, either the push-fit plugs pictured, or our own Real Rapid Bolt. Both are supplied separately. To see the dimensions of the plugs, click here (the plug product page will open in a new window).

Manufactured for virtually all flange types and sizes. For large ANSI flanges in heavy pressure classes, please verify that sufficiently large plastic bolts are available. If suitable bolts cannot be found, the RSC covers can be produced without bolt holes, i.e., for attachment using nylon zip ties.

On RTJ flanges, the sealing surface may be raised, which can create a gap between the protector and the flange. We can solve this by inserting an extra 5mm layer of foam (sold separately). Customers may also choose to tape around the edge as extra protection against dust. For the largest flanges in very heavy pressure classes, the design is specifically reviewed due to this additional height on the RTJ surface.
