ZERUST ICT® VCI capsules are designed to protect against corrosion in junction boxes, electrical cabinets, and tool/equipment boxes.
For example, a Zerust VCI VC1-2 capsule protects a 120-liter container, such as an electrical cabinet, against corrosion for 2 years. VCI is a collective term for Volatile Corrosion Inhibitors. When the capsules are unpacked, they release a gas at low pressure that deposits a molecular layer on all metal surfaces in the container, even if the container has a complex internal geometry. The protective layer slowly evaporates when the cabinet is opened again. Therefore, ensure that the cabinet is airtight.
