ZERUST VCI capsules are designed to protect against corrosion in junction boxes, electrical cabinets, and tool/equipment boxes.
The Zerust VCI VC2-1 capsule protects a 1000-liter enclosure, e.g., an electrical cabinet, against corrosion for 1 year. VCI is a collective term for Volatile Corrosion Inhibitors. When the capsules are unpacked, they emit a gas at low pressure that settles in a molecular layer on all metal surfaces within the enclosure, even if the enclosure has a complex geometry. The protective layer evaporates slowly when the cabinet is opened again. Therefore, ensure that the cabinet is airtight.
